Spaceship Baby Shower Invitation

I spent about 4 hours last night looking at “The Conjunction” on a cold Cape Cod beach. With my small telescope, it still looked like a constellation. The meteors swooshing by in the sky made it all the more dramatic. Amateur astronomers who knew what to look for helped me find it. They assured me that I had found Saturn and Jupiter and that I wasn’t just looking at the Big Dipper.

Every morning I look at Google Trends in certain categories like baby showers to make sure that I am current with the trends. Well I guess it wasn’t just me looking at the night sky last night or watching rockets take off with awe lately. The first term under baby shower for the last day was “spaceship shower.” It was listed as a Breakoout term, which means it sort of came out of nowhere. I was just checking the United States metrics. If there is enough people looking for it, Google Trends will even tell you what states it is hottest in. In this case the most interest was Louisiana (100), Mississippi(97), Alabama (82), Arkansas (75) and South Carolina (74). 100 just means that was maximum interest. Zero would mean no interest. South Dakota (25) ranked last. Maybe it was just too cold to go out last night or they aren’t near Florida’s Space Coast and can’t pop over to watch rockets take off.

Anyways, if you want to plan an on trend baby shower, this baby shower theme would certainly be one to keep on the astronomical radar.
